  • BUSH www.bush-music.com used to be the official site but hasn't been updated in years. The best place is now probably frontman Gavin Rossdale's website at www.gavin-rossdale.net
  • CATATONIA- no official site as the band have split but some information and links to fan sites can be found on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catatonia_(band)
  • THE DARKNESS www.thedarknessrock.com is the official site. However, this fan site www.freewebs.com/danhawkins has information on Dan Hawkin's equipment.

  • BARE KNUCKLE PICKUPS- Exceptionally high quality pickups hand wound in the UK. Custom orders undertaken too. "Vintage Tone Monsters to Contemporary War Machines. Wound, made and played the traditional way- by hand"...Does exactly what it says on the tin.www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk

CHARLIE CHANDLERS GUITAR EXPERIENCE- Sometimes, when touring, we don't have the time or the equipment or the correct degree of humidity for some of the more complex repairs or mods. Charlie and his staff have always worked miracles, usually with little or no notice, and his workshop is the only one I ever use or recommend to anyone else. Great shop too. www.guitarexperince.co.uk

GUITAR GEEK- A great site featuring hundreds of artists rigs all of which are nicely set out in graphic format. www.guitargeek.com

LEIF BODNARCHUK- This very good friend of mine was the other half of the Ash backline crew. This is his home page and describes the services he can offer you when he is not cleaning up dried vomit from Thunderbird pickups. Talks a lot of sense about client/technician relationships too. www.eastdaleamps.com

STEWART MCDONALD- This manufacturer and distributor of guitar parts, tools, repair manuals etc is based in the USA but they will send items worldwide (watch out for the import duty though) so you can attempt all those modifications and repairs yourself. Thereby putting us out of business. The site also has a large library of freely accessible technical info. www.stewmac.com

STRINGS REUNITED- Radiohead crew chief Plank's personal page. Has an ongoing blog as well as plenty of info on the band's gear. Non Radiohead related items include a stolen equipment database, for sale pages and musician contacts. www.stringsreunited.com

THE GIGRIG- A reasonably affordable and useful solution to some simple FX management issues. Sturdy as hell too, which is always good to see. If only they were black. The site also has a guide to classic FX and some tips on FX placement. www.thegigrig.com

WATFORD VALVES- This UK company imports and grades valves as well as being an outlet for speakers and components too. They have tested all the various types of valves- current and old stock- and have put detailed reports of the results online in laymans terms. Very interesting reading... www.watfordvalves.com

MOBILE FLIGHTCASE REPAIR- Now here's a good idea. Cases sustain all sorts of damage while being flung about on a daily basis and while its a good idea to carry a couple of spare wheels and catches, it is impractical to keep all the variations of different extrusions on hand all the time. Enter these chaps who will turn up on site with a mobile workshop full of all this stuff, repair everything and even clear up again afterwards. www.mobileflightcaserepair.co.uk

ENDINO.COM- Home page of Producer/Musician/Noisemonger Jack Endino. Alongside the info about him and his career are some useful and amusing technical articles. If you ever need an explanation of Yarling or pics of Mexican Tube Amps or even a guide to Tape Machine Response Curves, then this is the place to be. www.endino.com

HUGE RACKS INC- A forum and photo database dedicated to racks, FX, amps and switching technology. Get your gear questions answered (sometimes accurately and usefully, sometimes not) or just marvel at the many images of the gear uploaded by users. Warning- this site contains Americans so if words like 'Dude' 'Awesome' 'Jams' and 'Fuck shit up' make you grate your teeth, this one may be best avoided. www.hugeracksinc.com
